Stu retired as Plant Manager from Kentucky Electric Steel and later served as Dean of Ashland Community and Technical College. Stu was a past board member of Kentucky State Chamber of Commerce, past founding board member of Tri-State Fair and Regatta and received the Economic Development Award from Governor Paul Patton. He was a member of the City of Ashland Park Board. Stu was an active member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where he served as an Elder. He served honorably in the United States Army and was a member of Fred Gross Masonic Lodge 953 for over 30 years where he was a Master Mason. He received his Under Grad and Graduate degrees from Morehead State University. Stu graduated from Ashland High School in 1956. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on September 20, 1938. Walter Stewart "Stu" Taylor III, 84, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away at the Community Hospice Care Center on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
